I was born and raised in the Midwest. After high school, I attended college in California as an art major. Besides art, my background includes a few years playing Rock ‘n Roll; support for various unmanned spacecraft including Voyagers I and II at JPL; sidewalk astronomy for the public; computer mainframe support for banks and local government.
My artistic focus is photography, paintings and drawings. My photographs are color and black and white using digital cameras and classic film cameras. My paintings are oils and/or acrylics. Drawings are created using various media.
I rarely plan photos. My images are mainly whatever catches my eye, wherever I happen to be. I do plan paintings and drawings around ideas that pop into my head or something I’ve seen.
My goal is to pull eyes into my creations and to generate a reaction good or bad. Indifference is failure.
